Stroup, Gill Depart From the Mammoth

Colorado Mammoth General Manager Dan Carey announced today that Dan Stroup and Chris Gill will not be returning as assistant coaches.

Stroup and Gill, both Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductees, played in the NLL for 13 years and 14 years, respectively. While teammates for three seasons in Toronto, Stroup and Gill won two championships with the Rock in 1999 and 2000. Stroup, named champion's cup MVP in 2000, went on to win one more with Toronto in 2002. In 2006, Stroup and Gill were teammates once again in Colorado, and won one more Champion’s Cup with the Mammoth. Stroup retired in 2009 and was inducted into the NLL Hall of Fame one year later. Gill retired in 2010.

Both Stroup and Gill served behind the Mammoth bench for four full seasons, joining Pat Coyle behind the bench in March 2014.

General Manager Dan Carey said, “On behalf of the Mammoth organization, I would like to thank Dan and Chris for their commitment to the team during their time as assistant coaches. They were true professionals during their time with us, and we are grateful for that. We wish them both the best of luck in future endeavors.”
