DENVER, DEC. 6, 2018 – The Colorado Mammoth today revealed the design of their 10th Anniversary Lacrosse Out Cancer jersey that Mammoth players will wear at their April 6 home game to honor patients, families and caregivers battling cancer.
To celebrate the decade mark of Lacrosse Out Cancer, the Mammoth and Kroenke Sports Charities are allowing anyone who would like to honor someone affected by cancer to put a name on the back of the team’s Lacrosse Out Cancer jersey with a $25 donation. Kroenke Sports Charities will direct donations toward local nonprofit partners that fight cancer daily.
“This season, we wanted everyone be able to donate to the cause. That’s the approach we took to the jersey this season,” said Mammoth General Manager Dan Carey.
“Everyone has been affected by cancer in some way, and the importance of the Lacrosse Out Cancer game goes without saying.”
As in past seasons, lavender – representing awareness of all forms of cancer – and white will be the primary colors of the Lacrosse Out Cancer jerseys.
Also on the back of the jersey, under the players’ numbers, will be a panel featuring all names of those affected by cancer that are submitted online.
Between Thursday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Jan. 20, any person who would like to add a name on the back of the Mammoth’s Lacrosse Out Cancer game jerseys can visit www.ColoradoMammoth.com/loc1819.
The Mammoth Lacrosse Out Cancer jersey and shorts auction will be a separate event. Fans can bid on jerseys and shorts on April 6.
Mammoth players will honor those named on the backs of their jerseys at their 10th Anniversary Lacrosse Out Cancer game on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Pepsi Center. Tickets are available now at AltitudeTickets.com.
