Number of years on Wild Bunch: This is my first year as a Wild Bunch Dancer!
What is your dance history? I started dancing at five years old. By the time I was in fifth grade, I was dancing six days a week, and performing/competing all over the country. When high school came around, I joined the POMS team and was captain for two years. In college, I danced for the Texas A&M Dance team, performing at all men and women’s home basketball games and also traveling to Big 12 and NCAA tournament games.
What made you want to audition for the Wild Bunch? Well that’s easy…I love to dance! It’s so great to be part of a team and have the privilege to dance with such awesome girls. I am also a huge sports fan and love the energy/passion fans have at Mammoth games!
What was the first thing that entered your mind when your number was called to make the team? It is hard to explain that initial feeling you get. My number was the very first number to be called, so at first I thought that I was just imagining hearing it. Once I snapped back to reality I realized my number had actually been called and was able to celebrate with the rest of the girls who had made the team.
What is your favorite style of dance? Jazz. There are so many different styles within jazz so you have a lot of room for creativity and personality. It is upbeat, fun to watch and gives you a chance to showcase your technique and training.
What do you do to stay in shape? Dancing has always helped me stay in shape. Outside of practice, I typically go to the gym to do cardio and also do yoga to improve my flexibility. I eat healthy for the most part but I do have a weakness for sweets. Moderation is the key to staying in shape!
Who is your favorite player? Adam Jones.
What are you looking forward to most this season? I am looking forward to getting to know my teammates more as well as getting to meet the fans. I think we have a great season ahead of us and it will be so exciting to be able to represent the team on and off the field.
