Gavin Prout
Prout rejoined the Mammoth on March 15, 2011 via trade from the Edmonton Rush in exchange for forward Mike McLellan and a 1st-round pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft…Spent the 2010 and part of the 2011 seasons with the Edmonton Rush after playing in Colorado from 2004-2009…In Edmonton, he tallied 104 points on 38 goals and 66 assists...With Colorado, he was named Mammoth team captain on Dec. 16, 2005 and led the team to the Champion’s Cup in 2006 where he was named the championship game’s most valuable player …In that season, he led the Mammoth and was fourth in the NLL in scoring with 93 points…Set postseason records with 15 assists and 25 points in three games during the 2006 postseason..Was named an NLL All-Star in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009...Also named second-team All-Pro for the 2002, 2004 and 2007 seasons, and first-team All-Pro following the 2006 season ...Became the Mammoth’s all-time scoring leader during 2007 season...Was a first-team All-American at Loyola College in 2001 and honorable mention in 2000…Was the No. 1 overall selection in 2001 NLL Entry Draft by New York Saints…Native of Ontario, Canada... Gavin will serve as team Captain for the 2012 season.
