Casey Powell

Moved to the team's Short Term Hold Out List on March 29, 2014... Added to the team's 20-man Active Roster on January 28, 2014... Casey Powell is a lacrosse ambassador and World Champion. He burst onto the lacrosse scene as a high school athlete at Carthage Senior High School when he set the all-time national record for career points (553). Powell starred collegiately at Syracuse University. Among his many accolades and accomplishments while playing for the Orange, Casey was a two-time Division 1 National Player of the Year and a National Champion. Donning the famed number 22 jersey, he graduated as the school’s all-time leading scorer. As a pro, Casey’s game reached new heights. He is the all-time leader in points in Major League Lacrosse history, and was the first and only American ever to be named the National Lacrosse League’s Most Valuable Player. He was acquired from the Rochester Knighthawks via trade on March 12, 2013 in exchange for Jon Sullivan and a third-round draft pick.
