Hey Steve,

I bought a another pair of season tickets to bring new prospective fans into the wonderful sport we all love. I was wondering what happened to the LAX 101 clips we had in the first season. Any chance of bringing them back? It would be nice to get some of the new players faces up there explaining some rules and stratigies to new fans. It would also be helpful to see some the officials hand signals explained as well. I know I would do a lot less explaining and more beer drinking.... I mean game watching.

Mr. Govett,

I thought I would bump this up since it seems to have been hidden. What are the chances of bringing this back? I know a lot of the newbies would like to see Cornfield show what a "swim" move is.

Sorry for the late reply, with our weekend off last week I went out of town and returned just to leave again to go to Portland. This past weekend was hectic with two games spaced so far apart.

So much of what we do on the jumbotron is tied to sponsorship elements. The Mammoth, as you know, have become very popular and with that comes a limited inventory to do things. When we were new to the marketplace we had extensive time to fill on the jumbotron and the Lax 101 was the result.

Now we are obligated to fill the time with revenue generating items. If one of our sponsors was interested we would certainly bring it back. Gotta pay the bills!!

I also beleive that our fans are becoming very advanced about the game and the 101 class just doesn't cut it anymore, maybe we could do an honors lacrosse/calculas 403 class or something.

Incidently, a swim move is when the offensive player takes his one hand with the stick and ball over the head of the defender while using his off hand to push the defender the other way to go by him.

Hope this helps.

SG

Mr. Govett,

What are the going rates for getting ads and such on the Jumbotron?

It is best that you contact the sponsorship department at the Pepsi Center at 303-405-1100.
