Why? Nobody has changed them all year; I figured they enjoy stains at this point.

With Edmonton beating Rochester today, this should be the break down for the Mammoth:

Colorado wins:
#4 seed in the West due to head-to-head tiebreaker over Minnesota, Minnesota gets to go to Toronto in the crossover, somebody from the East misses the playoffs

Colorado loses & Rochester wins:
Make the playoffs, go to Toronto in the crossover, Buffalo misses the playoffs

Colorado loses & Buffalo wins:
Buffalo will get #3 in East and Rochester will get #4, having won the head-to-head tiebreaker, we miss the playoffs

So we win, we are still in. If that is the case....

You are hammer, do you play the odds? The odds being mammoth are 100% sans Prouter and 18% with him.

Again not blaming Prout or saying he doesn't have skill. It just seems apparent that he does not seem to "fit" in this iteration of the Mammoth.

I would sit him. I can't say that Prout caused the loss(es), but he just hasn't been making the plays lately. It's hard to figure out what his role is right now. For whatever reason he's just not gelling.

He's an exciting player and generally a crowd pleaser. I hope he can find his niche in this lineup.

Prout is certainly not to blame for any of the losses this year, but the coaching staff hasn't figured out how to make things click like they did most of last year.

We limped into the hive last year and lost the final regular season game to the Swarm, only to host them the following week (rather than being #1 seed and hosting the Rush) and we all remember how that ended. So I have low expectations.

Here's something else to chew on...
Since 2009 the Mammoth are 15-26 at the Pepsi Center.

Any word yet on whether JGJ is going to face any repercussions for his post game cheap shot to the Swarm guy's head?

Is he still? or does he just know how to celebrate a goal?

The league usually doesn't announce things like that until the end of the week. Box score shows he got a high sticking major, so league would have to tack on a misconduct.

So, it probably wasn't caught on tape, and he'll walk away with barely a slap on the wrist.... again.

Naw, there's tape on this one; you see it pretty clearly on Altitude.

While I agree that it wasn't a direct shot at the guy's head, (looks like he hit high on the shoulder and it rode up to the earhole,) you still have no business going that high OR trying to do that as time expires.

Very, very bush move either way.

I haven't rewatched the game, so only have the live version to go by. Saw him do similar things to a couple other Swarm guys, it just didn't have the same result.

To me this seems to be a chicken or egg thing.

Jr. Is getting popped in the head all game every game, not that hard or single shot, but repeatedly all game long. He gets sick of it and retaliates.

My question is this.... Does his still of play cause it? When he constantly backs into players and keeps his hips low it causes the D man to bend and pushes checks up higher.

I get his frustration but is he causing it?

Jr was hit with a pretty good cheap shot earlier in the game, which is why Prout went after the guy and ended up in the penalty box. My guess is that the hit looked worse than it actually was as we all know that the buckets aren't strapped on tight anyways, and if the Swarm can get away with 10 holding penalties and a cheap shot on Jr, he can get away with a high sticking penalty. With Jr's lack of history in this area, I don't see a suspension coming.

The only thing from last weekend was that Bilic's Game Misconduct for running into Lewis was upheld.
