Mr. Govett,

First off, as always thanks for your time!

After the last game i have a rules question. Rule 55.1 states that the goal will not count if the ball breaks the goal plane after the shot clock or game clock expires.

I understand that rule but have a question. I have searched and can not find an answer.

If the shot clock expires while a ball is air born and the ball strikes the goalie it seems to cause a reset. Isnt that a contradiction of rule 55.1?
It would seem that if a goal cant be scored then the shot clock should not be reset.

Is there a way to bring that up to the rules committee ( if there is one)?
