Hi Steve,

I don't know what you can do about this, but I thought it was the best place to put it. The second to last home game of 2010 I went and bought a black t-shirt with the Mammoth logo at the Pepsi center. That week I washed the shirt, and most of the white ink came off leaving dark patches in the logo. Not good. At the last home game, they let me exchange shirts, but the same thing happened again.

I paid $18 for that shirt and it's completely ruined after only a single washing. Anything you can do about that? I want to have some pride in the team, but it's hard to do that when the merchandise is shoddy.

Tim

or people could ask him questions that actually relate to the team. You think he really cares about the gift shop? really?

actually i think he does. he is in the business of making fans happy. just because he didnt reply, doesnt mean that he dont give a s..t. you may think the oppisite but he is actually ivolved in all things with the team. be it players or tshirts.

Yeah, and while we're at it, I'm waiting for him to answer another fan's question about baked potatoes (why do Avs fans get them and we don't?!?). And I still wanna be a cheerleader! He may be in the business of making fans happy, but that doesn't mean he has any obligation to answer every asinine question that's thrown at him when the gift shop manager would probably be appropriate.

My gosh Dani, what country do you believe you are queen of? While there are many who post regularly on this forum that aren't exactly friendly, why is it OK for you to regularly insult people?

No, Mr. Govett doesn't have to answer any questions.

He does make himself available for questions here, though, so if someone has an issue or a bad experience shouldn't they be able to at least ask?

I guess to you this is asinine.

Maybe your highness could make herself available to clear every question before it reaches Mr. Govett?

I'm not saying every question posted here has merit or should take time out of SG's day.

To throw the counterproductive and elitist posts that you do is worse.

I would agree with Spike on this one. If you are having issues with something at the gift shop, email or call Josh Gross. He needs to be aware of faulty or defective items.

Sorry for the delay in the response. It has been a very busy off season so far, I just returned from League meetings last week and am looking forward to some great scouting trips coming up. Bob Hamley and I have been engaged in some fantastic discussions and I am really excited about Bob moving to Denver, becoming a part of our community and assuming his coaching duties on a full time basis.

As for the merchandise question, its a great one. I have purchased several pieces from the store for myself and my family, I have been happy with just about every piece. Other than some issues with choices, I think for the most part our merchandise is very comparable to other NLL teams and other teams here in our building.

I know with some new contracts for next season the variety of merchandise is increasing and we are striving for competetive price. I don't know who said it but I am very engaged in the oversight of the Mammoth brand and how our merchandise is presented and sold. If there is a problem, I want to know about it and I hope to remedy the issue.

I have referred this thread to the Altitude Authentics people and they will look into the quality of that particular item. I am going to assume that everyone once in a while has something not go the way you want it, and this item seems like it might be in that category. I would urge you to return any item that doesn't meet your satisfaction and the Altitude Authentics people will do what they can to make it right.

I think the title "Horrible Merchandise" is a little strong for the break down of one item, give them a chance to make that item right. We are fortunate that so many Mammoth fans buy so much merchandise at our games and throughout the season that we are bound to have some issues. I/We are committed to a great product, your feedback is appreciated and heard.

And this is the perfect forum for this question, this is why the forum exists, if you see something you don't like post it here, I will do my best to answer and get something done about it. If its Mammoth related, its in my domain to get it fixed and I do care. Baked potatoes, I can't do much about, but I do know the right people to ask. Now if getting wins was just that easy!!!!!

Thank you, we will get on it.

SG

I for one am very glad to hear this. Personally I have been very disappointed in the limited selection the past couple of years. Most seasons it seemed I bought something new every game, but the past couple of years it became rare that we bought anything new the entire season.

I would tell you that the "variety issue" of the last few seasons has been something mostly out of our control. The League has had certain exclusive licensing agreements in place that make it impossible for us to widen the variety of items available for both men, women and children. Pricing also became an issue as well as delivery and shipping challenges.

The exclusive licensing deals paid the League, which the Mammoth are one eleventh of and we saw the benefit from that but locally it made it difficult for us to deliver to our loyal fans and consumers.

New agreements in place should address some of the issues with variety, cost and availability. I am proud of the demand we have created and now I want to be proud of the supply. We are striving to deliver on our brand promise to you.

Steve,

Again thanks for taking time over your busy summer schedule to speak to the fans.

With regard to the Merchandise, I am wondering if we will ever see Mammoth merchandise at stores like Sports Authority, Dicks, or even LaxWorld. Having Mammoth merchandise at the prior two would be a great way to support the team.

Well the bottom line answer is... I don't know. I don't control what the buyers for those organizations want to buy. Ultimately, they have to feel as though their consumers want those products and will buy them.

They buy, as we do, from the manufacturers, so we don't really have a large incentive to have items sold outside of where we can make revenue. Now of course, I am all for the branding opportunities that come from merchandise being displayed outside of Pepsi Center but its not something that is a huge priority for us.

If you want it in those locations, my suggestion is to ask and keep asking for the product, eventually someone might listen.

Hope that answers the question.

SG

Here is the one I bought.

Also a few started popping up at the stores in Pepsi Center last season, but they are not advertised on the Altitude Authentics website yet.
