SG, I have to be honest, I am really disappointed in this seasons lack of wins, especially at home. When you traded the team captain, Gavin Prout, I knew this was going to turn out badly for us. You traded away the heart and soul of our team, which is evidence to the teams lack of leadership and passion. He had a lot of great qualities that he brought to the Mammoth and the team. Very disappointed when you traded him.

Blackout night is coming in less then two weeks. How about trading for Prout back? It has worked in the past, but we need our leader back.

On the flip side...I will be back next year for my 5th year as a season ticket holder.

are you crazy man ?? the Gajic trio is the future I guarentee it, plus after Prouts behavior in the pepsi center a couple of weeks ago theres no way he'll be welcomed back by everyone. Maybe some but not every one. Not to mention the lack of team chemistry that would be a huge problem. time go forget the past and look ahead to a bright future led by the offensive tenacity of Alex and Ilija and the defensive help of Nenad.

Maybe Alex, looking better. Lets trade the other two brothers for a goalie. Prout, Langtree and Gajic swimming around like sharks in front of the net, three lethal shooters, that would be tough to shut down.

That was part of why Gavin was let go, he was not a lethal in front of the net, he seemed more than content standing at the point. Gavin has not been a Top 20 goal scorer since 2006, and he still averaged less than 2 goals a game.

And how about we let Ilija try and be healthy before we judge him, He was doing pretty well despite a disease that should have had him on bed rest.

to continue about Ilja, a disease he has had for a while and only just now got diagnosed. He knew something was wrong, just not how wrong.

I personally will be patient there.

I have to agree with Voodoo on this one. With that said there are several professional athletes that live with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease. They are very treatable, however, lets give Ilija some time.

I will say to SG is why is Ilija in Vancouver to be treated? I think we have better doctors here to take care of him. I would reccomend Dr. Fishman or Dr. Schreiber.

I'm in my 4th season as a ticket holder and I will admit, this is not the season I expected. I was bummed when Gavin left, but I understand making moves to look at the future of the team. It's unrealistic to expect winning seasons every year, so I just chalk it up to a learning year. Back next year!

I will have a longer post about the entire season soon.

I too am extremely dissappointed in the 2010 season. In my mind a disaster. There were, however, some things that began to give all of us hope as the season progressed, but I will say this, with the information that we/I had at the time we/I had it, to make the decisions that were made, I stand by them and would make them again. It is very easy to second guess, its not as easy to live by your decisions in a public forum. I do think the Detroit Lions comment is a little over the top!!!!!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, this forum was created to welcome them, good or bad. I certainly acknowledge those that are calling for my head, I don't blame them, I too am disappointed with the outcome. I do stand by my track record of success on the business side of this franchise and on the team performance side. I take great pride in the longest playoff streak for a GM in League history that spanned 10 seasons, and look forward to beginning a new streak with a wonderful group of players that currently make up this team. Bottom line is this is a "what have you done for me lately" business and I am only as good as my last game/season. The work started last week to restore this franchise to a championship contender. We must make changes and we will apply every ounce of expertise in this organziation to change the future outcome.

Yes, one championship for this team in 8 seasons, is not acceptable but every year it is proved to me that winning championships in any professional League is hard. As a GM, I feel if I can provide the tools to get to the post season, anything can happen and the players must take it from there. This past off season we acknowledged the trend, too many first round exits in the playoffs, that became unnacceptable, changes needed to be made. We created a plan, we committed to the plan and we are executing the plan, this season was not expected and was extremely painful for the team and the fans, but the plan is solid and so are the young talented corp of players that we have.

I own the decisions that were made and don't blame anyone or anything. We were dealt a certain set of circumstances and it is my job to react to, and anticipate, those circumstances, other teams do the same and have enjoyed success, this season, we did not. We/I will continue to address the team's needs and will continue to move forward to put the best possible team on the floor for next season. We will rise to the top of the NLL once again and I stand by our very talented group of young players.

To answer some of the more specific questions here, Ilija's treatment at the time was more about rest and rejuvination. There was little the doctors in Denver could do but monitor the progress of his blood count and make sure that the medicine that was prescribed was working. His body was going to tell the tale of his ultimate recovery, being at home with his parents where he was getting good rest and quality meals was best for him at the time. All the doctors, both Canadian and American agreed with that approach at the time. We are excited by his return, excited by his passion to play and excited about what the long and short term future holds for this very dynamic and exciting player!
