I just heard the news, and if it's true I'm excited about it.

I commend you for having the courage to not only make the change, but to take this challenge on.

I realize it will probably be difficult to continue this open forum. I can only imagine the second guessing or worse that might take place if everyone has a direct line to the coach. No doubt your schedule will be full without spending any time on this board.

Thank you! Best wishes! Behind you 100%

I'm sure there will be a formal announcement, but other than probably needing to kill this section of the forum will there be any major philosophical changes?

I think what makes you great is the fact that you are receptive to feedback and fan questions. I feel lucky to be a Colorado native, so that I can root on the home team. We have great players, a great staff, and great fans, it's all one big family. Thanks for taking the initiative and doing what needed to be done for the sake of the teams future. I hope you can continue your communication with us here on the boards, but if not, it is completely understandable.

Thanks again.

This forum will remain open and I will continue to answer questions to the best of my ability. Our fans deserve to understand the inner workings of our team and our League and I fully intend to continue that process.

We don't have the luxury of what other Leagues have in media coverage so that people can get their numerous questions answered by a myriad of analysts and reporters. I see this as a very necessary outlet for true and accurate information (according to me), as in the past, we will continue to be an open book, to the extent that we do not comprimise any competitive advantage or confidential information.

I have seen the questions already regarding my ability to coach and timing. I guess the answer will be evident soon. I would suggest my answer will be about a track record, a track record to recognize greatness in coaches that I have personally hired in their first coaching jobs in the NLL. Darris Kilgour, Jamie Batley, and Gary Gait are three that come to mind immediately. Now I don't say this to suggest I will be great, but I can recognize opportunity, and that is what we have right now. The opportunity is to take 16 years of learning in this League and roll the influence of the likes of Les Bartley, Tony Resch, Gary Gait, Paul Gait, Darris Kilgour, Ed Comeau, and Dave Huntley into an experience that has some value.

No one says it will be easy and I may end up firing myself and hiring someone that better suits the job, but I will put the effort and work in to turn our ship in the short term. I won't hand over the reins of an 0-2 team that has fallen short of expectations to someone that has little knowledge of the players and landscape of the situation or organization. That wouldn't be fair to the team, the players, the coaches or the management and especially the new coach. It is an ongoing evaluation but the priority right now is to right the ship this weekend.

And righting the ship may not necessarily mean 2 wins right away, it means progress in the areas that we have identified as challenges. Our number one priority is balancing the transition opportunities for and against, 5 goals against in transition is unacceptable when we create no opportunities for. Fixing that issue or at least, evening it out, should create balance to what I see as an exciting effort on Saturday night. In this NLL 13 goals for, from just 5v5 offense and the power play is outstanding effort by a young group of offensive talent.

I have rambled long enough. Stay tuned, we hope we can deliver on our promise!

SG
