I know that instant replay has not expanded to the NLL, but when the vast majority of the fans can clearly see the crease violation in the last SJ goal, shouldn't the league review this option? As a season ticket holder, it is uncomfortable to justify a refs bad call to a newbie that I have convinced to purchase tickets.

Subject: Re: NLL.com User Comments - NLL Refs

Thank you for your email and comments concerning the officiating in the
NLL. Let me assure you that the League does monitor, view and evaluate
every minute of every National Lacrosse League game for quality
control,
game flow, and of course the area of officials performance. Officials
are advised on all pertinent game situations and areas of concern. Like
the players and coaches, officials are held accountable for their
actions or lack there of. The NLL constantly strives to improve the
officiating throughout the season, during as well as in the off-season.

Again, thank you for voicing your concerns and I hope you enjoy the
second half of the season.

that were goals when the fans saw it on replay for example one of the
mammoth players launched the ball from the other side of the rink and it
hit the glass boucnced back towards the goalie stick hit it and went in
before the 3rd period ended yet it still wasnt counted whats up with
that? we might get one a game and i can live with that but 4 is a real
problem. are your refs blind or are they really biased against CO? no
offence but if it hadn't been from the Mammoth this league would never be
where it is now. things need to change ASAP i would hate to be the team
that this happens to in playoffs.

With all due respect Mr. Tierney..... your reviews are useless and incoherent at best. The NLL might as well be the federal government for its intelligent reviews. The choice to allow certain refs to maintain a paychck is insane. If I was as flawed and biased in my profession, I could be criminally prosecuted. The refs as a whole are as useful as a third *. To even consider paying them is an experiment in lunacy.

Along these same lines, another question can be asked:

How concerned is the league about credibility when the officiating is inconsistent to the point as to be considered laughable?

Is the league being proactive with the officiating to try and make it more consistent and to make sure the referees are doing their jobs?

1 or 2 people might get a response like that but if everyone sent in an e-mail
i think it might start to hit them that the refing is a problem that needs to be
set right.

what is the NLLs e-mail?

I have sent emails myself, and seen replies from numerous emails other people have sent. Every single one if them is identical (note not similar, identical) to that one. As long as your butt is in a seat the league doesn't care.

Note I said THE LEAGUE. The individual teams and team management are putting out a great product but the environment the league provides for them is a joke.

I agree w/the above. I too have sent the league an email regarding officiating. They just don't care.

Justus. I love my Mammoth and Lax for that matter. Unfortunately, the NLL will be considered a 2nd or 3rd tier league until the "League" decides to handle the officiating issue.

Just a though, but had your orrigional letter been nicer and less "you all suck and your not doing anything about it" they might be more apt to actually write back and not just copy paste.

My letter was very professionally written and I got the same copy/paste. I agree w/what you are saying, but unfortunately, it's the same reply to all.

The letter I wrote was VERY professional and I was very flattered they replied until I found out it was a form letter. I doubt any of them are even read. I can tell you the Mammoth do read their letters, but they can't do much in this case.
