Steve,

Does the Mammoth have an affiliation with a team in the WLA or the OLA? I think it would be good for some of our American based players to play box this summer versus playing in the MLL.

Sorry to jump in on this question HopAlum, but most of the players who play in the OLA, WLA do not get paid. I dont think players would turn down a paycheck from the MLL to play in Canada unless they got cut.

Some players do get paid, don't get me wrong. The elite guys can make some good $. I just dont think they would pay a guy who is learning the game. I could be wrong.

I did talk to Brian Reese of the Outlaws at the watching party and he was telling me the original Americans that played in the MILL/NLL got their start in the OLA/WLA. He was talking about Tom Ryan and others. It would be great for some of our guys to get some playing time up there. The future of the NLL, in my opinion, depends on top Americans making the jump from the NCAA to this league.

I watched Danowski play in the MLL and frankly, I was less than impressed. I wonder if he will come back this winter.

How would Danowski's success/failure in the MLL correlate to his returning next year? MLL and NLL are different beasts.

I was thinking more that MLL and NCAA Lacrosse. Lets face it, in the college game you do not have a shot clock and it is less physical. In the MLL you also do not get to practice with your teammates on a daily basis. I still see Matt needing to take hits up the middle and still be able to score. He needs to quicken his release as well. According to the NLL Insiders, he wants to come back. He missed a good deal of Mammoth training camp and some games due to graduate school commitments. I feel he needs to have a productive summer to show he can help us out here in Denver.
