How did the funky schedule for this year come about? (i.e. starting with 2 games in 2 days and then a 20 day layoff, the big homestand followed by the big roadtrip etc)

Was it simply random chance that such an odd schedule came about? I don't recall the Mammoth or any other NLL team having a similar one at any point.

Along that line, are you happy with the schedule this year? I personally like it in that there are front loaded home games, then the bulk of the road in the middle with another set of clustered home games to end the season. From a momentum perspective, I really dig this. What are your thoughts?

If you look historically, you can find any number of oddities, really.

Minnesota this year, for example, will play 6 road games in a row over 5 weeks (they get a week off due to the ASG), including two weekends where they'll play Friday and Saturday night road games in different cities.

But in the end, we're trying to squeeze a 16 game schedule into maybe 18 weeks, and with a limited number of dates to work with. I'm often amazed that they're able to throw a schedule together at all. :)

I'm pleased with it for the most part, we have to realize the NLL has to work around alot of other pre-scheduled events at the arenas. And the fact that we only have three friday night games, and NO Thursday games, is amazing. Although I would like to see them try out a Saturday DAY game here. They gave us one on the road in SJ, but I'd like to see one here.

But like I said, I'm overall pleased with the schedule. I really like Rochester coming HERE so late in the season. Should be an explosive environment!!!

I love scheduling of the Titans on Saturday, Jan 31st. What a weekend, Mammoth on Saturday and then the Super Bowl late the next day!
