Tommy is looking like a new tough guy in this league this year. Was this a conscious decision, or just the Tommy tired of being pushed around?

Second question: As a Canadian, how does it feel to watch a kid from Illinois kicking the cr@p out of a few Canadian tough guys?

Please feel free to answer the second question with the same smart ### tone it was asked. :)

Tommy has always been a tough guy, he just has never been put in the situation that he has twice this year. Both times players have basically attacked him, both times they have regretted it. I wouldn't call it a planned situation he has just answered the bell like he has most of his career, he has turned into one of our best defenders and now adds the tough guy title to his resume as well.

Tom has a background in hockey back in Chicago and has been training with a boxing coach for the past couple of years. I just don't think that people had any idea what they were getting themselves into when they went after him.

He is the perfect tough guy, he doesn't go looking for it but you just don't want him pissed off. He doesn't propel the bravado that perhaps other tough guys do, he just quietly, unselfishly, effectively does his job and is an outstanding locker room guy. I would much rather have him than other self absorbed, one dimensional tough guys that just take face offs.

Poking him with a stick. Agitating, provoking, needling, poking with a stick.
Like I was doing to you and Mr. Govett was directing that to a certain #4.
