They would have had to not only been in production but shipping by now. rbk is notoriously slow.

Portland has their flannel print jerseys, and Calgary has opening night pink jerseys. Rumor has it that the K-Hawks have a new third as well.

WhoÂ’s to say something hasnÂ’t been in the works for a long time, indeed?

I guess my only thing is that, in an effort to satisfy my ego, I'd love to see demos of them before they go to production so I could say whether I was happy with the result or not.

The last thing I'd want to do is walk in that night, go into the store, look at the jersey, and decide the thing is really hideous like the Jax's plaid ones. :D

But I guess this begs the question: what does everybody want in a black jersey? Just shades of black for material? What about the logo?

Unfortunately since I agree with Pissya in that the TAR PIT is a name for that section. I personally won't buy a pit shirt out of respect for that. So I am waiting for a jessey or I will simply wear good ole Wooly.

Just so everyone understands, it is our intention to create a pretty cool atmosphere for this one game. I don't think that anyone would argue the atmosphere is electric for any Mammoth home game anywhere in the building and the Tar Pit section has been transformed into an especially exciting place to watch a Mammoth home game. I greatly admire the passion of the fans there and encourage them to continue to always paint their faces and wear their jerseys.

I will say this, for one game we wanted to try and create something that many people say can't be done, to fill an entire regular season game with a sea of black could be very intimidating. Those same people said we couldn't put more than 5,000 people in the Pepsi Center for lacrosse. I would like to prove them all wrong again and pull off this one very cool event, for no other purpose than to say we did it.

So for just this one game, I think we might all be able to agree that we can turn the entire building into one giant TAR PIT!! I do know that it has been a lot of fun planning what to do, and we have some pretty inventive stuff planned. And just a few surprises as well.

Hey, I get it if you have your thing and you aren't willing to change it for anyone or anything, but hey this is something to have fun with!!! We try to make every game fun and exciting, this is something just a little different that we might be able to grow every year! If its not your thing, don't sweat it.

SG

Mr. Govett,
Please don't get us wrong. It is a fun idea, and I'm sure a lot of people will participate. I know for my family, we're partial to wearing our jerseys and will definitely gravitate more towards a "black out" Mammoth jersey. Especially if we can get them personalized. 8) But I do think a valid point has been made that unless black t-shirts are given away to everyone as they enter the Pepsi Center, it will be substantially harder to get everyone to take part.

You also run into the issue of them only being given away when the item of the game is purchased. A lot of fans don't buy the item of the game, or in other cases like mine, although I bought 3 flags at the home opener, I only received one t-shirt.

I know we all have "our thing" more than most. What I have planned is to alter the face paint, possibly reversing the black and white so black is the primary color and wear a black turtleneck under my Tar Pit tee (my arms are WAY too white to get away with just a Tee :) )

Just so you know... I'm definately behind this.
