Seeing as how this topic seems to always be buried in the forum, I'll create a topic for just this. If we don't fire Hamley, there's no point in attending or paying any attention to this team. At the beginning of every season in every sport the thing that keeps fans interested is hope and with Hamley as the coach there is no hope. I love the mammoth and will continue to attend the games and pay attention when they're on the road but I'm starting to toe the line of insanity.....doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Please SG fire Hamley!

No we need to fire SG...he is putting just crap teams together. If Paul Andrews was still with KSE, I can tell you that he would have been long gone. My vote is we get Marty O'Neill..

although I don't necessarily disagree with you, the Mammoth have enough talent on the floor to be better than they are. Hamley mismanages his team during the game.

Hammer had coached in the NLL for 10 years and put together 3 winning seasons. 2 9-7 season with the Sting and an 11-5 season for us. Are there just no coaches available? Cause that record would get you canned in any other sport.

I think the team needs a complete makeover starting with the GM, then the Coach, and then the Captain. We should move on from all 3.

Heck, make an offer to John Gallant.

Would Gallant make a good coach? He's a great player and an affable guy, certainly. When he was team captain, I'm assuming everybody lined up behind him, although I can't recall any instances where he demonstrated what one might call "leadership abilities" (albeit I can't recall any instances where he DIDN'T, either). Are we succumbing to loser logic at this point, where "anything is better than what we have now"? Would bringing a new head coach onboard at this point in the season actually help any? Could he establish his leadership role and turn the team around by April? Or is the season pretty much shot at this point? I honestly don't know.

Gallant coached the Sabertooths. They were quite successful.

He also coached the Jr. Mammoth, over qualified in my books.

Ask and ye shall receive. Only took 5 years too long.

It may be telling that they haven't announced a replacement for any of those positions. Perhaps he hadn't fired Hamley because he hadn't lined up a replacement yet? (Although, yes, it's been overdue for awhile...)
