MAMMOTH TV SERIES NOW AVAILABLE ON DVD

7/9/2009 – The Colorado Mammoth announced today that Mammoth: Wired Up is now available on DVD. Mammoth: Wired Up is an insightful, behind-the-scenes look at the Mammoth organization.

The film crew follows players, coaches, staff in the locker room, at home, at practice and games to show what it takes to be a National Lacrosse League player, coach, staff member or venue crew member.

Produced by Spare Parts Media, the series tells the stories from a perspective that the average fan rarely gets to see. Executive Producer Jason Nolte says, “When the players are on the field, they’re in uniform and almost anonymous. To be able to take a peak into their personal lives, on and off the field, really adds a unique aspect and personalizes them.”

Throughout the show, the crew follows and profiles various aspects from the individual lives of the players to coaches to the staff that make each game flow smoothly. Mammoth: Wired Up also follows the players during off days and away from the game. Offering a look inside the role of these professional athletes in their “real lives” – where they have actual careers including teachers, sales people, members of law enforcement and firefighters among others.

Nolte continues, “One of the biggest reactions that we’ve gotten to the show is that people are surprised that playing professional lacrosse is not the players’ full time gig. They have regular jobs, just like you and I, and still make time to practice and play on a professional level on the weekends during the season. I think that takes a passion for the game that you don’t always see in other sports.”
