Team Sassy Among RecycLax Champions
The inaugural Colorado Mammoth RecycLax lacrosse tournament was a huge success on Saturday, as 26 teams competed in four divisions. On a sun-splashed afternoon filled with friends, tournament participants shined on the field.

U9 Boys
The Stapleton Jets defeated the Rippers, 6-4, in the U9 Boys Division championship game to claim the inaugural Colorado Mammoth RecycLax title. The team finished with a 4-1 overall record, suffering its lone defeat to the Junkyard Warriors in pool play. Congratulations to the Stapleton Jets: Charlie D., Robbie D., Jake G., and Finley H.
U11 Boys
Relaxin defeated the Spider Monkeys, 11-4, in the title game of the U11 division to win Colorado Mammoth RecycLax. Reed B., Alec B., Grayson B., and Jack M. led Relaxin to a perfect 4-0 record.
U13 Boys
Lax Rats followed up a 2-0 pool play record with three wins in the playoffs to claim the U13 boys’ division Colorado Mammoth RecycLax championship. In the title game, Lax Rats beat Let’s Talk Trash, 10-2. The ‘Rats roster included Matt P., Grant B., Evan P., and Jack C.
HS Girls
Team Sassy and The Wolves championship game was an instant classic, with Sassy picking up the 5-4 win and the championship. Team Sassy finished with a 4-0 mark overall, thanks to solid play throughout the tournament by Katie S., Syd L., Jillian T., Michele J., and Hallie K.
