Two Mammoth Games to be Nationally-Televised

The National Lacrosse League announced today that two Colorado Mammoth regular-season games, both in the month of April, will be nationally-televised live in prime-time on the CBS Sports Network. The Mammoth’s home game on Saturday, April 14 against the defending champion Toronto Rock, and Colorado’s road game at Minnesota on Saturday, April 28 will appear on the national network in High Definition.
“It’s an honor to have two games on CBS Sports Network, with the first game giving our great Mammoth fans a chance to once again show the nation that they’re the best in the sport,” said Mammoth President & General Manager Steve Govett.
The team announced in December that 13 of its games will air regionally on Altitude Sports & Entertainment. Today’s news increases the total number of televised Mammoth games this year to 15.
“More Mammoth games will be televised nationally and regionally this season than any other in franchise history,” said Govett. “It’s only fitting that the increased coverage comes as we celebrate our 10th-anniversary season in Colorado.”
The CBS Sports Network broadcast schedule will be comprised of eight games, culminating with the 2012 NLL Championship Game. One Divisional Semifinal game, and both Divisional Finals games, will be televised.
The Colorado Mammoth opens the 2012 season against the Minnesota Swarm on “Brian Langtry Night” on Saturday, January 14 at 7pm MST on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center. Single-game tickets are on sale now at the Pepsi Center box office, all Colorado Dick’s Sporting Goods retail kiosks, online at TicketHorse.com, or by calling 303.53.HORSE.
