BEGINNERS INVITED TO LEARN LACROSSE FROM THE MAMMOTH
For some, the sport of lacrosse may appear to be too costly for their children to play. For others, the initial investment of purchasing equipment without knowing if their kids like the game seems unwise. The Colorado Mammoth has the solution!
On Wednesday, the team announced the launch of the Mini Mammoth, a lacrosse introductory program for boys and girls ages four to seven. Clinics will be led by 2012 NLL Rookie of the Year Adam Jones, with sticks and balls provided.
“Kids will learn the basics – throwing and catching – from the best in the world, and will become instant fans of this great game,” said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. “They’ll always remember, and cherish, the first time they had a stick in their hands.”
The inaugural Mini Mammoth event will be held on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 12:00pm MT. The 1.5-hour clinic will be preceded by a Mammoth practice, and will culminate with an autograph session. Participants are not required to bring any equipment. No cleats are allowed on the turf.
