'MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT’ JERSEY AUCTION BEGINS TODAY
The Colorado Mammoth announced that the team’s Military Appreciation Night game-worn jersey auction begins today. Net proceeds will benefit The Home Front Cares, a Colorado-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to help needy veterans and military families with rent/mortgages, utilities, car and home repairs, groceries, and other essential life needs.
“Military Appreciation Night promises to be memorable once again,” said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. “The support and enthusiasm of our fans never ceases to amaze me. I thank them in advance for standing behind the brave men and women who have, and are currently representing this great nation with pride, dignity, bravery and courage.”
The game itself will take place on Sat., Jan. 18 at 7pm MT on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center. All jersey-auction winners will receive a pair of tickets to the game, and will be able to personalize the left- and right-chest plates of their jersey.
“The Mammoth’s ‘I’m Playing For’ campaign debuted three seasons ago, and it is one of the most meaningful and significant charitable efforts of our organization,” said Govett.
The auction is now live on ebay and can be found by clicking here or searching for keywords “2014 Mammoth Military”.
The desert camouflage pattern of the jerseys is made up of lacrosse player silhouettes, while the uniforms themselves resemble fatigues. Game-worn shorts will be auctioned off on the concourse on Military Appreciation Night.
Tickets to the game start at just $10 and are on sale now at the Pepsi Center Box Office, all TicketHorse outlets, online at TicketHorse.com or by phone at 303.53.HORSE.
