Holding On For Another Year
The Colorado Mammoth announced today that transition player Cameron Holding has signed a one-year agreement to return to the team for the 2013 season. He appeared in all 16 regular-season games for Colorado in his rookie season in 2012, forcing 11 turnovers.
“Cam played a major role in our success this past season,” said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. “He is a fast, aggressive young player who was part of our stellar rookie class.”
Holding, 22, is a native of Whitby, Ontario. He played college lacrosse at Grand Valley State University (Mich.) and led the nation in goals and points as a senior. In a more defensive role with the Mammoth, Holding still scored four goals and four assists while collecting 51 loose balls.
