HOLDING OUT HOPE THAT WE WILL ‘LACROSSE OUT’ PROSTATE CANCER
Colorado Mammoth transition player Cam Holding is having a career-year. With a goal and an assist in the win over Minnesota on Saturday night, the Ontario native established a single-season career-high for points. His lofty aspirations extend beyond the lacrosse field. The 24-year-old wants to ‘Lacrosse Out’ prostate cancer.
“A very special person to me – my grandfather – had prostate cancer so I wanted to play in his honor,” said Holding.
On ‘Lacrosse Out Cancer’ Night on March 8, Holding will wear the light-blue ribbon. His jersey is currently in auction on eBay, with net proceeds benefiting The Urology Center of Colorado Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity that is dedicated to advancing urologic care in the Rocky Mountain region through advocacy, research, education and support. The roots of the foundation are firmly in its core values – collaboration, community and education.
