GRANT CREATES ‘LEGENDARY’ BURGER AT HARD ROCK CAFE DENVER, CHALLENGES FANS TO EATING CONTEST

The Colorado Mammoth and Hard Rock Cafe Denver announced today that All-Pro forward John Grant Jr. has developed the new “Legendary Mammoth Burger” to be offered at Hard Rock Cafe Denver for a limited time. Grant is also challenging fans to a speed-eating contest to kick off the burger’s addition to the menu. The two-time MVP’s burger-and-fries combination features a 10 oz. beef patty with Cajun style bacon, pulled pork, sweet BBQ sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomato and more – a total of 24 ingredients, matching Grant’s long-time jersey number.

“It was an incredible experience working with Justin [Christman, Hard Rock Cafe Denver’s Kitchen Manager] to make a tasty burger,” said Grant. “I can’t wait to see it on the menu!”

Grant will join 9NEWS Sports Anchor Susie Wargin, 850KOA’s Mark Johnson and other local celebrities in a speed-eating contest on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 12:00pm at Hard Rock Cafe Denver (500 16th Street Mall / Suite 120 / Denver, CO 80202). Fans wishing to participate in the contest may submit nominations on Twitter using hashtag “MammothEats” (#MammothEats).

“We look forward to Mammoth fans joining us on July 31st for what promises to be a ‘Legendary’ lunchtime event,” said Hard Rock Senior Sales and Marketing Manager John Lindsay. “Fans of all ages are encouraged to attend, whether they plan on challenging [Grant] or not.”

The Mammoth star will sign autographs and greet fans following the contest. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to arrive early.
