GRANT SCORES 600TH CAREER GOAL
Colorado Mammoth forward John Grant Jr. scored the 600th goal of his career on Saturday night at Xcel Energy Center against the Minnesota Swarm. Grant’s second-quarter power-play goal made him just the third player in National Lacrosse League history to reach the milestone, joining Buffalo’s John Tavares and former Colorado star Gary Gait.
Since being acquired by the Mammoth in the fall of 2010, Grant has scored his 500th and 600th career goals, recorded his 1000th career point, been named an All-Pro twice, and won the NLL’s Most Valuable Player award (2012).
If the Mammoth wins Saturday’s game, it earns a berth in the postseason.
