BE A BALL-ER: BID ON DAN’S ‘LACROSSE OUT’ LYMPHOMA JERSEY
For Mammoth defenseman Dan Ball, the decision to play to ‘Lacrosse Out’ lymphoma was an easy one. He and his family were personally affected by the disease.
“My uncle, Jim, died at the age of 38 after he was diagnosed with lymphoid cancer,” said the Barrie, Ontario native.
On March 8 at Pepsi Center, Ball will honor his uncle and a loved one of yours. Ball’s jersey is currently in a one-day auction on eBay that ends this Sat., Feb. 1 at 1pm MT. Net proceeds from Ball’s jersey will benefit the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Team in Training, a fundraising program of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS is a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)3 organization and the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer.
