Grant to Guest-Host Radio Show on Sunday
Put a stick in his hands…and he shines. Put a microphone in his hands…wait and see.
Colorado Mammoth all-star forward John Grant Jr., who leads the team in goals, assists and points, will guest-host the All-Request Retro Show with Alf on Channel 93.3 FM this Sunday at 10pm MST.
“I’m super-excited about the opportunity,” said Grant. “In my life, I love three things: family, lacrosse and music. I don’t go five minutes without listening to music wherever I am.”
Last year, the 37-year-old purchased a music venue in Ontario. On Sunday night, Grant gets his chance on the ‘mic’.
“I’ve never deejayed on the radio before,” admitted Grant.
Alf, who invited Grant to the studio, is anxious to work with the Mammoth co-captain.
“I’ve been a fan of the Mammoth since the team relocated to Colorado ten years back,” said Alf. “As such, I’m chuffed as chips to have Mammoth forward John Grant Jr. be my guest co-host on the All-Request Retro Show this Sunday.”
And what music can listeners anticipate? Songs from Grant’s favorite band will surely get some airtime.
“Expect some Pearl Jam,” said Alf, a Mammoth season ticket holder.
