Mammoth Partner Wins '9Who Care' January Award
The Colorado Mammoth is proud to announce that Liz Oster, the founder of Courage is Change, a local non-profit that the team has partnered with in an effort to end dating and domestic violence, has been named the 9Who Care winner this month by 9News.
“This is a tremendous honor for Liz, and one that she rightfully deserves,” said Mammoth President & General Manager Steve Govett. “Her vision for the campaign and the non-profit is extremely admirable, and I am thankful that she and her organization are getting a significant amount of publicity here in Colorado.”
Several months ago, the Mammoth and Oster co-produced a public service announcement that promoted the non-profit’s ‘It STOPS with ME’ campaign. Since then, countless Denverites, including Mammoth players, have taken the pledge to empower people to ‘create non-violent communities through healthy relationship development’.
Mammoth fans will have the opportunity to take the pledge in-person at the team’s home game on Friday, April 20. Mammoth players are scheduled to participate in a walk on April 25 to help promote the non-profit and its mission.

The Colorado Mammoth opens the 2012 season against the Minnesota Swarm on “Brian Langtry Night” on Saturday, January 14 at 7pm MST on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center.
