Mammoth Releases 2013 Schedule
The Colorado Mammoth announced today that the team has released its 2013 schedule, which begins at home on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center on Saturday, January 12, 2013 against the Washington Stealth. Seven of the team’s eight home games will be on Saturday nights; the lone exception is a Friday evening match-up with the arch-rival Calgary Roughnecks on January 25.
“Entering our 11th season in Colorado, I’m proud to say that this might be the best home schedule we’ve ever had,” said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett.
Seven unique opponents don the team’s home dates, including a rare visit to ‘The Loudest House in Lacrosse’ by the defending NLL champion Rochester Knighthawks on March 2.
All Mammoth home games begin at 7:00pm MTN. The team will announce a series of theme nights for the 2013 season in the coming weeks.
Colorado concludes the 2013 regular season with a pair of games against the Minnesota Swarm (April 13 at Pepsi Center; April 20 at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn.), the team that knocked the Mammoth out of the postseason in the West Division Semifinals.
The Mammoth recorded an 11-5 record in 2012, its third-best mark in franchise history. In 2013, the team returns reigning NLL MVP John Grant Jr. and reigning NLL Rookie of the Year Adam Jones.
