Keogh Comes to Colorado

Mammoth Sends Draft Picks to Knighthawks

The Colorado Mammoth bolstered its offense on Thursday as it acquired right-handed forward Stephen Keogh from the Rochester Knighthawks. In exchange, Rochester received a first-round pick in 2018 and second-rounder the year after.

Keogh, a six-year veteran, has scored 120 goals and 123 assists in 77 career games. He’s a two-time 30-goal scorer, and was a member of the 2012 NLL All-Rookie Team. In 2016, the Toronto native registered a career-best 95 loose balls.

“We’ve had interest in Stephen for years,” said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. “We felt now was the opportune time to bring him to Colorado, and we look forward to him contributing right away.”

The Knighthawks’ Offensive MVP in 2014, Keogh won three NLL championships with the organization. He won two NCAA Division 1 titles as a member of the Syracuse Orange.

Keogh is the third player on the Mammoth roster to have previously been selected second-overall by the Knighthawks in the NLL Entry Draft, joining Ilija Gajic and Jeremy Noble.

Colorado visits Saskatchewan on Saturday at 6:30pm MT with first place in the West Division on the line. The game will be broadcast live on NLLTV.
