Stats from the Playoff-Clinching Win


In Colorado’s playoff-clinching win over Rochester, the Mammoth accomplished the following:

• The team held the Knighthawks scoreless for 32 minutes, 58 seconds. It’s the longest such streak for the team this season.

• The Mammoth scored nine straight goals from late in the first quarter to early in the third. That sets a new season record.

• Rochester didn’t score in the second quarter. It’s the fourth time this season Colorado has held an opponent scoreless in a period.

• The Mammoth bettered its season mark to 6-1 against the East Division. Every other team in the NLL has at least two losses against both East and West opponents.

• Dillon Ward made 20 saves in the fourth quarter. That ties for the most saves by a goalie in the final frame in any game this season. (His 21 saves at Saskatchewan on Feb. 18 are the most by a netminder in any quarter this year.)

• Colorado is averaging 13.5 goals per game in the last month. The team was averaging 11 goals per contest in the first 12 games this season.

• The Mammoth improved to 5-0 when leading after the first quarter, 8-0 when leading at halftime, and 7-0 when leading after three.

• Robert Hope’s helper on Eli McLaughlin’s third-quarter goal set a new career-high for assists for the defenseman (10). He also tied his career-high for points.

• Ten players scored for the Mammoth, the most goal-scorers by Colorado in a game in 2017.

• The Mammoth clinched its 14th playoff berth in the team’s 15 seasons.
